EXTON SINGLE PHASE HEATERS (208, 240, 277 volts)

The "EX" model is particularly suitable for installation at the point-of-use, feeding a single outlet, being fed with deionized water at a relatively constant temperature. The rate of flow through the heater should be regulated so as to give the desired outlet temperature.

The "EX-T" series is fundamentally similar to the "EX", except that the heaters are fitted with a CLOSE LIMIT ELECTRONIC THERMOSTAT which is able to control the outlet temperature within ±1°F (1/2°C) when deemed necessary.

EXTON THREE PHASE HEATERS (480/277 - 208/120 volts)

EXTON "Three Phase DI" water heaters are of modular construction using three standard heating modules which can either be plumbed in series of parallel, and subject to a maximum voltage of 277 volts across any one element, which may be electrically wired in WYE (STAR) or DELTA configuration. This series should be used for higher rates of flow where the single phase heaters can not produce enough water at the required temperatures.

In some applications, where a steady rate of flow at a constant temperature from a deionized water supply ata constant temperature, is required, the "EX" or "Flow Controlled" series is satisfactory. The rise in temperature is determined by the rate of flow and the power of the unit in accordance with the table below. Where the supply water temperature is erratic or varying rates of flow are required, the "EX-T" Thermostatic series will give a more controlled performance.

The heater must be installed ONLY IN THE VERTICAL POSITION with the inlet/outlet fittings and electrical conduit entry at the bottom.
