EXTON
DI water heaters® are specifically designed for the
point-of-use heating of ultrapure water for critical cleaning and
rinsing operations now required in many high tech manufacturing
processes. The heaters are capable of providing a continuous supply
of heated deionized water, within close limits of temperature control,
at individualized production stations.
The
heaters feature a flow switch to control the switching on of the
heating modules at predetermined flow rates. This allows a continuous
unheated flow through the system during non-use periods, maintaining
high resistivity and avoiding "dead legs" in piping systems.
When the point-of-use DI hot water is required, the switch activates
the heating modules to provide an instant and continuous supply
of heated, high purity deionized water, up to a maximum of 180°F.
For
optimum performance and energy savings, EXTON
DI water heaters® should be located as near the point
of use as possible. Since the per unit investment is low, it allows
installation at multiple locations, or multiple units plumbed in
parallel where higher flow rates are specified.
The
outgoing temperature can be controlled by adjusting the rate of
flow in most cases. Where more accurate temperature control is required,
the units can be fitted with an electronic thermostat utilizing
solid state zero-voltage switching techniques to control the heating
module power.
EXTON
DI water heaters® are compact. The outer cases are
either flame retardant (UL94VQ) plastic or epoxy coated steel, making
them suitable for "class 1" clean room installation. The
heaters are UL listed.
EXTON
DI water heaters® are manufactured from PVDF and
GE Noryl© plastic that maintain the integrity of ultra high
purity water.
